GSA Improved Drawings via As Built Process
The GSA is a federal government agency that supplies products and communications for U.S. government offices, provides transportation and office space to federal employees, and develops government-wide cost-minimizing policies, and other management tasks. With multiple departments housed in one building and each department charged for their space allocated, outdated representations of where people sit caused certain departments to be either over-charged or under-charged for their space. Inaccurate as-built drawings were not consolidated into a master drawing to reflect space changes and remodels, thus Buildingi completely overhauled GSA’s as-built drawings, and physically re-measured and verified spaces for the Sacramento John Moss Federal building, as well as other select projects to reflect the reality of the space and to input that information into their current IWMS solution. As a result, GSA now has data integrity assurance with accurate information and reporting on space and improves, making move, add, and change of employees easier and more efficient.
