Centralized ECM and Collaboration
Our client is among the oldest and best respected actuarial and human resource services firms in the country. Originating from a merger of two companies, they serve a global audience and rely on collaboration and innovation to provide superior service and value to their clients. This mission is well supported with strong information management policies. However, with the merger came two distinct support systems and approaches to information management. Our client needed a platform on which to share and store documentation that their associates develop, both for their external clients and internal constituents. They also needed to ensure transparency of experience and workforce collaboration while meeting regulatory requirements.
Buildingi was engaged to address both needs. In Phase One, Buildingi delivered a prototype centralized content management portal driving content through a single location. Using SharePoint 2010 and FAST search, along with other third party SharePoint solutions, this collaboration tool is a combination of emergent technologies to merge Enterprise Content Management, next-generation Search and business social networking. A pilot group adopted this prototype solution and the feedback from the group, as well as the platform analytics, has informed the final solution’s features and function.
